I’d imagine the stand and monitor would look really good together, but in this video, it’s just the stand on show: If you want to get your hands on one of these, check out Maximobileshop.com , found here . It was long time ago when we reported that ACCESS (the owner of the original Palm ( NSDQ: PALM ) OS which it re-christened to Garnet OS) is working with Emblaze and Sharp to create “revolutionary mobile device.” It seems they finally managed to bring their project close to the end, and voila – a press release has been issued, announcing the new mobile OS called ELSE INTUITION. It’s all about user interface these days and these folks know that. Hence the mentioned release adds the good ol’ “revolutionary” adjective before the phrase

Yeah, yeah, we know, we’re a little late. Sorry for the delay, y’all – between recovering from CTIA, and some technical difficulties, the podcast fell to the wayside for a few weeks, but we’re back on track now. San Diego had a few treats in store for us, like the Samsung Moment and the Behold II, but there was a lot happening with T-Mobile ( NYSE: DT ) both before and after CTIA: the details of Project Dark came to light, so Will and I hashed out what hardware financing means for American wireless (mostly good things)

People in Kenya can now buy flights and bus tickets with their mobile phone; I wish I was joking

While Japan has been using NFC technology to enable mobile payments for years now, the rest of the world has been lagging in terms of mobile payments. Europe, the continent that was the first to launch GSM technology on a massive scale, still hasn’t figured out mobile payments. Premium SMS doesn’t count since it is mostly used to buy annoying ringtones and wallpapers from even more annoying commercials that play around midnight on weekdays

Refuseniks: People who prefer not to have a mobile phone; they’re out there!

A few years ago I would have been stunned at this article in The New York Times about people who choose not to have a mobile phone, but lately I find myself sharing some of their feelings and at times even do the same things they do; turning my mobile phone off for a day, sometimes even an entire weekend. “Refuseniks”, a phrase I was unfamiliar with until today, go without a mobile phone for a variety of reasons. Gregory Han, 34 year old online blogger, says “It’s a luxury not to be reached when I’m out and about”, a statement I agree with wholeheartedly
